Nostalgia is sweet, and sweeter still with a soft-serve ice cream cone in hand. Come join author Kat Robinson as she shares the stories behind many of Arkansas’ dairy bars, and how she came to document a state’s worth of these classic eateries.
Kat Robinson is an author and food historian who covers Arkansas and the Mid-South. She is also the host of three Arkansas PBS programs, including the Emmy-nominated Make Room for Pie, the pandemic-era culinary show Home Cooking with Kat and Friends, and the documentary Arkansas Dairy Bars: Neat Eats and Cool Treats. Her eleven books cover restaurants, recipes, and food culture in The Natural State. The Arkansas Times Readers Choice Awards has recognized her as its 2022 Best Author, and she is a founding committee member of the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame.
