Cherry Blossom Festival

April 3 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm CDT

The Hot Springs National Park Sister City Foundation will host the fifth annual Cherry Blossom Festival from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 3 at Horner Hall, located in the Hot Springs Convention Center at 134 Convention Boulevard. Since the affair has grown each year and draws participation and attendance from across the state, the decision was made to rename the event, The Arkansas Cherry Blossom Festival. This family friendly event will be free to attend.

The 2022 festival will again feature cultural demonstrations, musical and dance performances and exhibits. The Sister City Youth Art exhibition will debut at the event before moving to the library for the remainder of April. This year the festival will also include lectures and workshops for those wanting a more hands-on experience. An anime costume contest is planned as well as a variety of traditional Japanese carnival games. Prizes for the First Annual Arkansas Cherry Blossom Festival Haiku competition will be awarded with winners invited to read their haiku at the event. Japan based companies from across the state have been invited to participate by exhibiting items made in Arkansas to highlight the importance of these companies to our Arkansas economy.

Be sure to stop by the library table and say hi!
