Fiction Writers Cafe

Teens ages 13-18 are invited to come sip some coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and learn about different elements of writing fiction, including characters, scenes, plot, setting, point of view, dialogue, and more. We’ll discuss what works for us as writers and what doesn’t…and we might even get some words on the page. Maybe.

This month, we’ll talk about plot. We know that stories need a beginning, middle, and end, but what scenes need to be included for a story to feel complete? And what if you prefer jumping right in instead of planning your story out beforehand?

This program is appropriate for teens with any level of writing experience. Whether you’re an absolute beginner, or you have boxes of completed work shoved under your bed, we’ve got you covered.
