The “Have Book, Will Travel” book club features revolving themes, moderators, and locales. This club is meant to be about book discovery and discussion, as well as socializing with fellow readers who share common interests.
In September, we will meet at the Garland County Library and discuss Louisiana Longshot by Jana DeLeon. This is the first book in the popular Miss Fortune Mystery series. DeLeon describes herself as someone who “grew up among the bayous and small towns of southwest Louisiana. She’s never actually found a dead body or seen a ghost, but she’s still hoping. Jana started writing in 2001 after attending a funeral, but that’s a whole other story. She focuses on murderous plots set deep in the Louisiana bayous and the secrets that lie just beneath the surface of small towns.”
