Jonathan Van Houten was born in raised in Hot Springs. Performing since the age of 12, he got his start with the Stardust Big Band and Hot Springs Village Big Band around the age of 14 and has been performing off and on with both ensembles for the past 17 years. Jon has been performing as a multi-instrumentalist for the past 10 years, and maintains a full schedule. Jon has performed with a wide variety of artists such as The Temptations, The Four Season and a number of jazz musicians. He currently plays with The Stardust Big Band and Delta Brass Express and regularly travels around Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas with El Dorado-based band Blackstrap.
