(VIRTUAL) Interview w/ David Hill, Author of The Vapors

This virtual program will be livestreamed on the library’s Facebook and YouTube accounts on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 at 6pm Central Time.

This second, follow-up Virtual Book Talk features David Hill, author of last summer’s smash success of local interest, The Vapors: A Southern Family, the New York Mob, and the Rise and Fall of Hot Springs, Arkansas, America’s Forgotten Capital of ViceThe Vapors was the Garland County Library’s most checked out non-fiction book in 2020, and remains a popular item. Mr. Hill will discuss a variety of topics regarding the book and its development. The conversation will include talk of the history of The Vapors/Hot Springs, the behind the scenes research, and the process of creating the finalized work. Mr. Hill may also touch on his reaction to the response The Vapors has received, his future plans as an author, and the relevancy of the themes in the book as they apply to the modern world.
