(VIRUTAL) Archaeology in Hot Springs National Park

Join us to learn about the field of archaeology and the work done at Hot Springs National Park. A park ranger will talk about what they do, why they do it, and how it is done, as well as some of the different kinds of archeological sites found in the park.

Victoria Reichard is the Park Archaeologist for Hot Springs National Park where she is responsible for identifying, recording, and protecting the park’s numerous archeological sites. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Archaeology from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree from Wheaton College. She has worked on a variety of archeological projects in fifteen states domestically and abroad in Israel, Ecuador, Belize, and Kiribati (Gilbert Islands). When she is not working, she enjoys hiking, antiquing, and spending time with her husband Joe and their two dogs.
