What: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tournament (for Adults!)
When: 2/12/22 – Doors Open 1pm, Tournament Starts 2pm

By popular demand from local gamers, the library will host a competitive Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament for adults! Please read the rules before registering.
Rules (Point Accumulation, Swiss Style Bracket)

* 1st place will receive a $75 gift card, 2nd place will receive a $50 gift card, 3rd place will receive a $25 gift card, and 4th place will receive a $10 gift card.
* All characters and all kart combinations are allowed.
* All items are on.
* No COM.
* Players must bring their own Nintendo Switch-compatible controller.
Every player will compete in six rounds, in a Swiss-style point accumulation tourney.
1st place – 15 points, 2nd place –12 points, 3rd place – 10 points, 4th place – 5 points.
Round 1 – Mario Kart Stadium, 150cc
Round 2 – Sunshine Airport, 150cc
Round 3 – Electrodrome, 150cc
Round 4 – Mount Wario, 150cc
Round 5 – Super Bell Subway, 150cc
Round 6 – Bowser’s Castle, 150cc
After all six rounds, the 4 players with the most points go to the Finals. A tiebreaker race to determine top 4 will be held if necessary.
The last place racer in each of these rounds is eliminated.
