Where do you find inspiration? In this presentation, northwest Arkansas author Talya Boerner will share the day-to-day inspiration behind her writing. Every person has hundreds of unique stories just waiting to be told. And for every story, there is someone who needs to hear yours.

Talya Tate Boerner is the author of three books: The Accidental Salvation of Gracie Lee (2016), Gene Everywhere (2020), and Bernice Runs Away (2022). Her short stories and essays have been published in Arkansas ReviewWriter’s Digest, and Fourth River Literary Journal as well as several online publications, including Deep South Magazine and Farm Bureau’s Front Porch Magazine. As she is both an Arkansas Master Naturalist and Arkansas Master Gardener, Talya’s writing often reflects the inspiration she draws from nature. She is a voracious reader and a self-professed homebody who raises butterflies on her back porch during the summer. Follow Talya’s musings via her blog Grace, Grits and Gardening.
