What: STEAM Team: Table Top Basketball

This month we combine engineering and sports by building miniature free-standing hoops along with desktop catapults for some tabletop basketball fun. We’ll be using cardboard, tape, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, rubber bands, and other craft supplies.
STEAM Team is a recurring program focusing on subjects of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. We eat snacks, play games, explore information, conduct experiments, and do activities.

This program is for storytellers of all kinds, whether you want to write your story down in words,
illustrate it in a comic, act it out, or tell it through paint, clay, collage, or some other medium.
This month we’ll talk about point of view. Whose story are we telling, and how do we show it
from their unique perspective? Also, games and snacks.
No experience is needed, and no one will be required to share their work unless they want to.
This is a low-risk creative environment.

Come make your own work of art with Ms. Jill. You’ll learn how to paint step-by-step and leave with a completed painting! Please arrive on time. Class will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m. and we will not have time to restart for late participants.

Stop by the library to plant a little seedling to watch it grow! Seedlings include summer vegetables like green beans, melons, squashes, and okra. A fun and quick activity for families. First-come-first-served while supplies last.
